(More customer reviews)I must admit I had a couple of problems figuring out how to use this device properly, at first I even thought it was defective! After speaking with the very helpful tech support guy in San Jose, the penny dropped and I felt embarrassed that I hadn't RTFM (read the f manual)!
This is a very loaded MP3 player, 16 GB with slot for more memory, and boasts a superb FM transmitter as well as a great FM radio. You can watch movies or just listen to music, or even use it as a flash drive for your computer. It is light and portable with a quality screen and comes with great headphones too. You can use it as a recorder and listen with the built in speaker (tinny but better than nothing).
Get the optional Latte Ice sleeve to protect it. Enjoy!

I had to drill the headrest holes a little bigger but only by a mm or so. It fit without drilling but was VERY snug. All is all this ia a great deal. We are planning on buying another one in the future. Great Product. Easy Installation. The width of the rails is adjustable. Very bright.

(More customer reviews)Have had TV Ears for 7 months until they failed completely. I called their 800 number to see how the LIFETIME SERVICE GUARANTEE (listed boldly on their packaging) worked. Boy, was I disappointed to find that they only Warrant the device for 90-days (almost a Lifetime??). After the 90-days, you pay freight to ship it back to them AND they charge you between $35 and $59 to repair or replace the unit. Isn't that a coincidence - very close to the cost of buying a brand new unit. When I gently challenged their LIFETIME SERVICE GUARANTEE, the service rep got very snippy with me. It's a good product, but I have to downgrade it significantly for a very bad warranty policy. If you've experienced this problem, do a review and maybe they'll see the need to "get real" and support their Premium Priced product with a reasonable warranty.

Radio Remote Pros:
++ iPod integration is great
+ volume can be adjusted in much finer detail compared to iFM (64 vs. 16 levels)
+ clip appears more sturdy and usable
+ includes a set of Apple earbuds which a shorter cord
Radio Remote Cons:
- arrangement of buttons makes operation by touch not as convenient as iFM
- (cosmetic) available in white (only)
Both seem about equal as far as FM radio performance is concerned.
While the Apple Radio Remote seems like the better of the two, I use the iFM (with the shorter Apple earbuds) when skiing because the button layout is much easier to use on the slopes while wearing gloves.

(More customer reviews)I really don't know how many stars should I give to this product, 2 or 3, because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't do it very well.
Unfortunately, where I live, 3 of the 4 frequencies are been used. When I use the kinda empty one: on the morning I get some static, and/or noises from that frequency, interferences; but at night I don't. Sometimes at night I put the transmitter on the back seats of my car and I'm able to still listen very well, but just at night and like I said, sometimes.
With the other frequencies it's almost imposible to hear something. Specially with the first one that is in use, I just can hear the station. Tunning isn't the solution.
Another thing that I have to do in my car is that I have to put the transmitter on the top of the console, because the stereo is at the top. I really don't know how to explain this but the one who has a '94 Isuzu Trooper or has ride it could imagine this situation. For my consideration that may be dangerous because any thief could just get in his arm and get my mp3 and the transmitter, if I'm with my window down (like most of the time because I like it that way). Is not that I'm paranoic, the thing is that in my city people cross on the middle of the streets, and here anything could happen. So, in that place is where I get the best reception and also sometimes static and interference too...
I also tried on another car and was terrible, even closer that in my car. The static was anoying, tunning didn't even work.
I've also tried it on many places, like boomboxes, stereos, amplifiers, etc and the result was the same. The thing here is that the transmitter is closer to the stereo; get your own conclusions with this because the problem is the same one. Even if you tune it, it's the same.
I bought this product by Philips instead of Coby (CA-739) because I know the reputation that Philips has and what involves buying anything from Coby, but I have to say that I'm not happy with this. I thought that all my audio problems were gone with this system, no way! If you want to take the risk, maybe think about getting the one from Coby.
Finally I found where to place the transmitter. Now the thing is how I'm going to stand it. What I'm trying to say is that you better buy one that can be plug into the 12v, more comfortable and esthetic. You have to consider space and a safe place for your player too.
I'm thinking of just fix my cassette player and use the cassette adapter back because this is not the first time I read problems like this one.
Maybe you should consider buying one that may allow you to use any frequency and that has quite wide range.

(More customer reviews)July 2006. After testing the Jwin, Griffen 30BK, Edge DiskGO, and the Kensington Pico, and the MITO, the MITO wins hands down. The JWIN is not plug and play and presented quite a bit of static, the Griffin could not muster the volume, as was the case with the Kensington, and the Edge was just a P.O.S., with no stereo transmission, and a battery door that would not close. My test was specifically for transmission to a Panasonic Boom box, used while on vacation. In both N.J. and N.C., the MITO performed well, with little static, and plenty of volume for those late night jam sessions after the kids and wives were asleep. Go with the MITO, you won't be sorry.

I like to relax in a part of my yard with no electricity and I didn't want battery-operated speakers and I didn't want to spend too much (I know, a lot to ask). These speakers are better that I hoped. I use them with my PC music collection - I just found that I needed to place the receiver as far as possible from my wireless router - the sound was very clear and the rechargeable batteries lasted approx. 5 hours with a decent sound level. They seem sturdy enough and very transportable. Follow the instruction label placed on the box and you will save a lot of aggravation (you are not sure whether they are charging or not if you don't read it). I am very pleased for the money.

The tape was reversing from side A to B continuosly. So, following the instructions of another user, i opened the tape and took out the black wheel next to the cassette head. That stopped the reversing, but the volume was so low you could barely hear it even after turning up the Ipod's and the Stereo's volume. I have a 30 GB Video Ipod and a Volkswagen Passat Factory installed Monsoon audio system. Do NOT buy this piece of junk, keep looking. I heard the Sony cassette adapter is good, so i'm gonna try that next. Good luck...

Sony STR-DH800 7.1-Channel Audio Video Receiver (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I know just enough about Audio to be dangerous but I'm not a true audiophile (or whatever they're called). So I don't know how an average person would figure this out when it took me an hour and a half on the phone with Sony support before THEY figured it out.
Now this is my second Sony receiver and I purchased this one specifically to go along with my brand new Sony BDP-S360 Blu Ray player. I used brand new HDMI category 2 cables into the receiver and then out to my Sony HDTV. This is suppossed to be the BEST way to get true no-loss sound decoding and picture. Well I was shocked when my receiver was NOT decoding DTS audio. All Dolby Digital tracks were playing in perfect 5.1 surround sound...the DTS tracks played back in Linear PCM stereo. So after I read the manuals, updated the firmware and set everything right then trying a few DVDs and Blu Ray discs I contacted Sony Support via email. Several exchanges later they asked me to call in to better troubleshoot my issue. First I talked to the blu ray guy (since I wasn't sure which device was causing the issue) and after resetting the player and checking all the setting I was transfered to the Audio department. Once again we reset the machine to factory setting, checked all the set ups and still nothing changed (Did I mention that I had to unhook and reconnect several cables and I even had an optical cable running to my old Sony Reciever?). Then 1 1/2 hours into the phone call he asked if I was getting audio through the TV speakers which I was and he said "oh its set to TV + Amp". So we changed that setting to just "Amp" and bingo...DTS surround sound!! I said "but that's the factory default setting". He told me where the info was in the manual but I checked an NOWHERE in the manual does it say that when using the receiver as a passthrough via HDMI inorder to decode a DTS signal the receiver must be set to "Amp" only and not the default setting of "TV + Amp". What the...??
So now the receiver works great even decoding the new DTS-HD Master Audio off my "Watchmen" Blu Ray disc. But be warned that if you use the HDMI inputs to decode your surround sound be sure to change the system to "Amp" instead of the default "TV + Amp" unless you enjoy stereo sound from your suround sound system. This may be the case for other Sony receivers so be aware when buying that factory default setting may not allow for optimum performance and the Sony guys might not be aware of this little fact if you call them.

The sound quality is good in my car but if I turn it up using the remote while it gets louder the static gets really bad. Speaking of static unless I turn up the volume with the remote there isn't any. I don't have to change radio stations all the time! Last thing I wish the neck were flexible. Where my lighter is in my car makes where the iPod sit kinda awkward it's straight up and I can't read the songs. Still a great product.

(More customer reviews)Excellent sound quality: no whistling, no microphonics, no noise, frequencies are dead-on and do not drift, good enough to listen to over a serious hi-fi system. Not only will it fill your house with its signal, it will fill half the neighborhood unless you turn the power down. It seems the market for the transmitter includes drive-in movies who use it to broadcast the sound track to a few acres of cars. The circuitry has obviously been designed by someone who knows their way around radio transmitters, this is very solid gear, you won't find better.
Now the downside:
-- You better like putting together Heatkits and can tell a 22K resistor from a 22uH choke. A temperature controlled soldering iron, micro-cutters, fine needle-nose pliers and desoldering braid (for correcting the inevitable mistake) would be good things to have.
-- Even with the best soldering equipment, expect soldering to be a bit of a trial: the multi-layer circuit board does not have thermal reliefs on the pads connecting to the ground plane; lots of luck desoldering same...

(More customer reviews)There's not much need for a review of this product. If your class requires it, you gotta have it. If you don't take that class don't buy this clicker. If you don't need it you'll have to sell it on Amazon or use it as a paper weight.
The choice of silver paint for the front of the clicker was a poor choice. After just a few uses you're probably gonna see scratches on the case. No one really cares about the scratches so no big deal when you resell it.
The 3 AAA batteries last a long time - usually over a semester. There's a time-out option you can set to really save the batteries.
The units are quite tough. I've dropped it, kicked it and no noteable damage.
If you need it, buy it. It's a great little item that will serve you well.
