Slacker G2 Personal Radio Player Dock Review

Slacker G2 Personal Radio Player Dock
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The home dock has been a key missing accessories. Hopefully there will be a car dock as well. The home dock provides fix audio-out so this means that the volume must be controlled by the boombox, stereo or whatever you are using to listen. It also has a variable volume headphone jack, plus you can use almost any 5 volt USB cable with mini tip to power the dock. I am using a Motorola Razr AC power adapter and it works great. If you use the USB cable included with the G2 plug it into the dock and then into a computer it will allow you to charge the G2, but also you can add mp3's or you can refresh your station.
Now with the latest G2 firmware update, you have the ability to have the backlight come on when docked and powered. You can also have the G2 only come up when a song changes which as another cool feature.
You can also use the dock without power, though the backlight will not stay on, unless you set the G2 to have the backlight always on, but you can set it to turn on when a song changes. This allows you to use the dock and also make use of the G2's battery. Always charging it without every draining the battery is probably not a good idea for long term use.
The dock is well worth the $29.99.

The Soundcast transmitters come bundled with their Outcast outdoor speaker and they work flawlessly. As I stated in my other review the sound quality is amazing for wireless and I have not experienced any drop off in connection.

Play all your favorite digital audio files out loud without running wiresthrough the house with the help of the ACR-212 AudioCast wireless receiver. Thereceiver, which works in conjunction with the ACT-211 AudioCast transmitter (soldseparately), incorporates 2.4 GHz Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS)technology to receive your PC or MP3 player's audio signal from a distance. Setup issimple: Just plug the AudioCast receiver and transmitter into nearby wall outlets, run acable between the receiver and your stereo's auxiliary or tape input, and connect youraudio device to the transmitter through its headphone jack. Within seconds, you'll havecomplete access to your entire digital music collection, with no long wires to unroll orprogramming to master. Even better, you can connect up to two receivers to eachAudioCast transmitter, letting you create two distinct music zones in your home. And forpeople with particularly large homes, it's even possible to run a single audio signalthrough two AudioCast transmitters at the same time, in effect turning your home into afour-zone system.
The real star of the AudioCast system, however, is the wireless FHSS technology. Foryears, wireless solutions have been plagued with outside interference from otherproducts using the crowded 2.4 GHz band. The Soundcast engineering team, bycontrast, refined the AudioCast's wireless technology to the point where neither themicrowave nor the cordless phone will affect the quality of the listening experience. Nobuzzes, no dropouts, and no distortion--just pure, clean sound.
Other details include a full wireless line-of-sight range of 350 feet (150 feet throughwalls and doors), support for PCs and Macs (including the iTunes audio format), and asleek black housing. The AudioCast receiver measures 6.8 by 2 by 3.5 inches (W x H xD) and is backed by a one-year warranty.

i.Sound Wireless FM Transmitter (White) Review

i.Sound Wireless FM Transmitter (White)
Average Reviews:

This has to be the worst fm transmitter in the whole world.
First off it is a pain in the but and goes through batteries up the wazoo.
Second off the cord that goes from the fm transmitter to the Ipod or mp3 device breaks very easily after not much use. I had to go buy a new cord at radio shack for it then come to find out it took a different jack than a reg headphone jack so I had to buy an addapter so that the cord would work.
Third and finally I bought the cord for nothing because not even a week later the part on the transmitter where you put the cord into fell into the device making it impossable to use it ever again!
Again I must say THIS IS THE CRAPPIEST PIECE OF JUNK I HAVE EVER BOUGHT.

The DreamGear i.Sound wireless FM transmitter lets you transmit audio fromyour iPod, PSP handheld, MP3 player, or any other audio device with a standardheadphone jack to any FM radio, including a car stereo or home stereo system. It's theperfect item for people who don't want to spend a ton of money buying a new iPod- compatible car stereo or deal with cumbersome cables when hooking up to their homesystem. The transmitter works intuitively: simply plug in your audio device of choice, choose an "empty" (i.e., unused) FM frequency, and tune your FM radio to thecorresponding channel. Once connected, you can experience high-volume stereo soundthrough any FM radio within a 30-foot range. Pioneer CD-INCAR1 Car Kit for Pioneer Inno Satellite Radio Review

Pioneer CD-INCAR1 Car Kit for Pioneer Inno Satellite Radio
Average Reviews:

I easily installed the Car kit in little time. Having a stereo though with no Auxiliary input I am relying on the FM transmitter. Living in a large but not to large metropolitan area I have trouble finding an open frequency thus giving interferance quite often. Even when having good reception I find that the trasmitter is quiter than a normal radio station (although you can set the transmition volume). Overall the kit is good.

Car Stereo Cassette Tape Adapter for MP3 iPod Classic CD Review

Car Stereo Cassette Tape Adapter for MP3 iPod Classic CD
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is so handy to have its not even funny. I have an older car and truck that only has a cassette player and while radio is occasionally good I like my music to suit my mood. So this handy little adapter allows me to have things my way and listen to the music on my mp3 players. The other thing though that I did not expect which was a bonus was that when I plug my blackberry bold 9000 up to it when I am on a call I can hear the other person on my speakers and its like they are sitting right there with me. I clip the phone back in my holster and have it hung on the seat belt on my chest and its hands free. Only problem that I could say is that the cord from it to the device is irritating but hey. until the make a wireless one it will work. Minor inconvenience for more versatility.

irock Beamit Wireless Music Adapter (400FM) Review

irock Beamit Wireless Music Adapter (400FM)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Actually, I'd like to give the iRock a rating of 3.5 stars, but settled on 3 stars.
I bought the iRock to go with my 40GB iPod. Overall, I'm quite happy with it. Here are the plusses:
*easy to use/install
*small (takes up only a little space)
*coiled power cord (helps!)
*uses very little power (with the batteries)
*reception is quite good on all 4 settings in a medium/large metro area (Twin Cities, Minnesota) with a lot of radio stations
Here's the minus: I was disappointed in the clarity of sound produced by the iRock. I don't know if the decreased clarity is due to the iRock or my car stereo (an Alpine in my Honda CRV), but the sound produced by the iRock simply isn't as good as the sound I get listening to the iPod with a cheap pair of headphones. If the clarity was a bit better I'd probably give the product 4 to 5 stars.
[I have discovered that I can improve the clarity of sound if I keep the volume on my iPod low and use the car stereo to adjust the volume. The clarity is 'fine,' but isn't great.]

Macally SN-ICEFM FM Transmitter and Charger for SanDisk Sansa MP3 Players Review

Macally SN-ICEFM FM Transmitter and Charger for SanDisk Sansa MP3 Players
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Works fine as a USB charger, but transmits a very low signal. You have to crank your radio up to max to barely hear anything, the background noise is louder then what you are trying to play and the noise is coming from the transmitter. The FM channel choices should work in my area as there is next to no signal on them from a radio station. But as soon as it is plugged in the background noise is horrific. I even tried soldering some wire onto the transmitting antenna and putting it next to the cars antenna and it made no difference. My ipod with a Monster transmitter works flawlessly on the same frequencies.

Maxell FMT-1 - FM transmitter Review

Maxell FMT-1 - FM transmitter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a very simple FM transmitter that's pretty much feature free. The trade off is it's price is much lower than most other FM transmitter you find in the iPod section of most retail stores. In fact, I actually found this product in the portable CD player isle (remember those?) of Best Buy
Pros:
-Nice price for those that don't mind the lack of bells and whistles.
-Range is good enough that your car should pick up the signal from anywhere in the car.
-Auto-shut off feature when it's not transmitting a signal.
-Works for any mp3 player with a headphone jack.
-Has that that cool Maxell "guy in the chair" logo on the back (probably not a real big pro, I admit).Cons:
-Might be too bulky for some. I'll try to get pictures up later, but for you gum or tobacco chewers it's about the size of a Bubble Tape or Skoal's container (as round as a soda can and a little under an inch thick).
-Requires 3 AAA batteries, which will be more of a con the more you plan on using the device.
-The four frequencies are in the 88 MHz range (88.1 - 88.7), which will be a con if that part of the dial is busy in your area
-I have to crank my iPod to full volume and turn the radio volume up a little higher than normal to get a good sound (this can be compensated by using my iPod's EQ, which sacrifices some battery life).
Overall, if you're thinking about getting a FM transmitter, but not sure how much you'll actaully use it, this is a nice, cheap device to test the waters. If you think you're going to use your mp3 player exclusively while you're in your car, you'll probably want to invest in a higher grade device.

This one of best gadgets that every one should have. Excellent quality from both USB dongle and from bluetooth phone. I didn't try other options like SD card, auxilury input,...etc. Call quality is good on both sides.
Cons:
1> Remote controller doesn't have option to skip to next folder. I has option only to skip to next song/track. So, if you want to skip to next folder, you need to skip all songs in the current folder.

Arkon SF150A SoundFeeder Wireless FM Transmitter Review

Arkon SF150A SoundFeeder Wireless FM Transmitter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a great product if you do not want to move the cd player or mp3 player far from the radio you are using to transmit. I use this for my mp3/cd player and my sisters ipod on my stereo instead of wasting batteries on my media speakers and it worked well when I had the transmitter inches from the stereo, anything more than that and it gets very staticky with a lot of white noise. It does it's job but it doesn't do it well

Click Here to see more reviews about: Arkon SF150A SoundFeeder Wireless FM Transmitter

Play your portable music player in the car without upgrading to an expensive new stereo system with the Arkon SF150A SoundFeeder. The wireless FM adapter is designed to transmit the music from a portable CD player, iPod, or MP3 player to an empty frequency on your FM dial. All you have to do is plug the SF150A into your player's 3.5 mm headphone jack, and then tune the radio to any one of the blank FM stations between 88.1 and 95.9 MHz. (The transmitter works best when the station plays nothing but static.) Once you find an empty frequency, the SF150A plays your music directly through your car's stereo speakers. The sound quality is solid and reliable, though it does require precise manual tuning for best results.
Listeners can also use the SF150A on other radios as well, such as home stereos or portable boomboxes. And at a mere 3.38 by 1.62 by 0.88 inches (W x H x D), the SoundFeeder takes up very little space, letting you store it in a cup holder, pocket, or other location. The SF150A runs for up to 60 hours on two AAA batteries (not included) and boasts a transmission range of 10 to 20 feet, depending on conditions. It also comes with a 6.5-inch audio cord.

This FM transmitter is good with good sound and little interference. It's really easy to set up and use. The only negative aspect of it is that it doesn't have a dock or something to attach it. It's just the cube and the cable that connect to the power and the mp3 player. I highly recommend this

MP3/MP4/WMA Player & FM transmitter with 1GB Samsung flash memory built-in (1.8 Inch TFT Screen) Review

MP3/MP4/WMA Player and FM transmitter with 1GB Samsung flash memory built-in (1.8 Inch TFT Screen)
Average Reviews:

While this player does a fairly good job of transmitting the songs clearly to the FM radio, reading the display during the daylight is difficult to impossible. The remote has to be very close to the player to function. also the unit doesn't support folders so all MP3s have to be placed into a common folder which makes it harder to locate and play a specific song.
Otherwise it is an OK player and the sound quality is good. The signal is strong enough so that the radio doesn't overlay a lot of static during playback. If this player had a more easily read display and supported folders, it would be a great MP3/4 player.

Scosche Goose Neck FM Transmitter with Digital Display for iPod, iPhone, Zune MP3 Players Review

Scosche Goose Neck FM Transmitter with Digital Display for iPod, iPhone, Zune MP3 Players
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have tried and returned more than a few fm transmitters. Before buying this model I was fairly satisfied with the discontinued "Universal" Belkin tunecaster, which fit into the earphone jack of any mp3 player. However, due to not so smart design (constant cord stress above the connector plug) the wire frayed and I had to replace it.
I subsequently bought the 'updated' model (exclusively for ipods) which now plugs into the base, thereby charging the player at the same time. First off, it was quite arduous finding a suitable frequency for this unit, and even when I did, it never held onto it for very long. During the 30%-35% of the time it worked properly, the sound was acceptable... but the rest of the time was interference, hissing, bleed-in from neighboring frequencies and, consequently, looking for free wavelengths and readjusting the transmitter.
What's more, the controller goes all over the place- and even though there's a mounting attachment, the "ideal" spot seems to vary constantly, and so is of limited use. This was in 3 three different vehicles, by the way.
After further research, I took a leap of faith as a result of good reviews from a handful of consumers on a "Radio shack/The Source" web-site (I found no other reviews on the web!).
It cost half as much as many other models (including the Belkin), but man, how nice is it when a device delivers on what it's supposed to do?
It completely took control over (and held) the very first frequency I tried and, save for between tracks, there was virtually NO background noise or static. The only 'quirk' I found was a boosting of bass which caused some distortion in the speakers. This was immediately remedied by lowering the ipod volume (which was on high), and compensating with the volume in the car.
Very happy with this purchase.
