I eventually pieced together a set of Boston Acoustics RS260's bookshelf speakers with one of these little brutes, and in a word, I was simply STUNNED by the performance of this little subwoofer! My sound room is a little more than 22'x23' with moderately high ceilings, and this subwoofer handled anything from my favorite Miles Davis cuts to the deep bass tracks of MOBB Deep with such power,dexterity, and detail that I am now contemplating the insane idea of buying another one. I must admit, I was torn between this model and a comparable equivalent in the Velodyne line of products, however, after doing a little research and talking to one of the Martin Logan representatives over the phone (great people by the way), I decided to take a chance... of course, the price point of under $1000 didn't hurt either. Simply put, in terms of price, performance, quality of construction (this thing is built like a tank!), and versatility of placement/configuration(see the Martin Logan Website - [...]), this subwoofer has all the muscle and attitude to take on any of the other competitors products (many of which cost in excess of 2x the price). Moreover, its made in the good old U.S.A. - how about that folks!!
ATTENTION: This Subwoofer is no joke!

Hondas headsets are about $40-$50 each and since I don't think any headset will last with my kids, I decided to try XO Vision. These headphones work with the DVD system, sound pretty good, fit head sizes both large and small at a fraction of the Honda OEM headset price. I decided to get two pairs as back up or to entertain others. For the price of under $20 you can't go wrong.

Jabra SP700 Bluetooth Speakerphone Review

I got one for my wife so she could answer and talk on the phone without looking for her headset and turning it on.
Product works as advertised, and in fact has a number of novel features.
The only "Con" is that it does not support a 2 phone household. It can only be paired to a single phone. It does not support multipoint or dual pairing like some other prodicts (the Jawbone headset). This means that to reconnect it to the secondary phone you must pair it again.
Other than that:
1) It's very loud. easy to hear
2) uses standard USB to charge
3) The FM feature allows you to listen to the caller through your car stereo
4) the caller ID of the caller is spoken to you and broadast on your radio using RDS (so you can see the text of the phone number). Very nead.
5) it announced when it has turned on, off, paired, enabled FM. It's fantastic to get this audible feedback so you know it's working.
I highly reccomned this to anyone who needs a speakerphone for their car. My only caveat is that if you plan to share a car with 2 people it's not so great unless one person only uses the SP700. I would have given it 5 stars if it supported dual pairing.

(More customer reviews)I should preface this by saying I know what I am doing when it comes to A/V equipment and accessories. I am not some AV-challenged idiot who simply did not know how to use this product. Amazon.com should be embarrassed to even have this product listed on their site.
1.) The sound quality was TERRIBLE. I nearly blew my speakers when I turned it on as the volume and EQ was WAY off. Even after tweaking, it was lousy.
2.) The range was nowhere near 30ft. My FM transmitter for the iPod has a much better range.
The FM transmitter is a better solution, but still doesn't have the range. If someone actually comes up with a BlueTooth or RF transmitter such as this that actually works, I'll buy it. This product simply does not work and is not worth buying.

(More customer reviews)I've gone through many inferior 3.5mm cables in the past several months, looking for something with good sound quality in my car. Most cable jacks seem to wear out quickly, and the sound degrades. Usually one side goes out, or gets staticky. So I went for the big fat cable, which does not have these problems, but has an unanticipated problem: I mount my iPhone to the dash, and the jack sticks right up out of the iphone, into my field of view, and invariably gets in my way. It's incredibly annoying. I'm going to give this one to my husband, who doesn't mount his iPod and so doesn't have the same problem, and try this: InCarCables Car Stereo Ipod/mp3 Auxiliary Aux-in Input Cable 3.5mm (4ft/1.2m) Hopefully I'll get good sound AND a cable that's not in my way. Wish me luck.

Shure PGX14/93 Lavalier Wireless System, L5 Review

(More customer reviews)I got this at a local Guitar Center in Pasadena, CA. the label sign said $648 and they realized it was mispriced. In stores it's actually $399.99 and he gave me 10% off because I really wanted the lower model PG14 which they don't carry in stores.
At our church, we rent out a school auditorium where there's no sound padding. We currently have a Shure wireless handheld (looks like a Pg14 + handheld but I think it's some older model) and a Sennheiser wireless lapel system that's been giving us a lot of interference/feedback.
First I tried the new AKG wireless presenter set and it had a lot of pops and feedback even though we adjusted the squelch and other areas.
So we tried this PGX14/WL93 system and this past Sunday there was no feedback, pops, in interference. We only experienced the clean and clear interference-free sound that comes from Shure.
On the base unit, I mounted it on top of our other Shure (which was set to channel) 1 and pressed channel and it seems like channel 9 was the only available option (7, 8, 9 at first, but now just 9). I think this is fine as we won't be adding more wireless systems, as of yet.
Once we popped in the 2 AA batteries into the transmitter unit I brought the unit over to the wireless base and hit "auto-sync". I wasn't sure if it was 1 tap or hold so I held it and it synced. After that, everything worked beautifully.
I appreciated that the body transmitter was easy to use. Hold the top button for power (green), push once for mute (orange), and again for unmute (green). On the side there's a gain switch for mic (high), 0 (medium), -10db (low). the "0" level was the best because mic was too loud and pitchy.
The lavaliere mic was great. I originally thought it would pick up too many other ambient sounds since it's a condenser mic but even with the band playing in the back the speaker was the only voice captured in the mic. there were no pops from "p" sounds and it did not have ruffling sounds on the shirt/jacket (I did not put on the wind screen which is quite big and odd looking). All we received was clear sound.
The other good thing about this model (transmitter) is that you can use 3 different lavaliere mics: WL93 (which it came with), the higher end WL185, or the lower end PG185 which comes with the PG14/PG185.
WL93: $80, WL185: $100. PG185:$40.
Having loved the countryman, I am now completely fine with the above options. Countrymans break and cost $400+ just to replace the mic (yes just the mic!). I don't know how the lower end PG185 is, but I assume it's Shure clear. So for $40-$100 to replace a lavaliere mic, I would gladly choose this over and over again! And Shure will be the brand of choice over and over again.

Oregon Scientific IB368 iBall Wireless iPod Speaker with Transmitter Dock Review

(More customer reviews)I would like to give this item 5 stars because the packaging was exquisite and carefully thought out, the item is well designed and very nice to look at, BUT, nowhere in the description that I can find does it say if you want to use this with an iPod Nano that you have to contact the manufacturer for the proper docking adaptor. And that it takes two to three weeks to receive it! This is a fifty cent piece of plastic folks. Oregon Scientific should supply their distributors with the piece and let them add it to the order instead of suprising the consumer like this. Come on! This was a gift and the excitement my daughter felt at receiving it was dampened considerably by her inability to use the thing.I give it four stars because the speaker seems to be well made and the instructions are thorough even though there is only a small tag discretely placed on the outside of the box that says you have to ask for the adaptor to make it work with the Nano. If that had been in the item description I could have requested it when I bought it and saved a week or so of waiting. As it is we have a rather expensive clock that we can't use as a speaker until Oregon Scientific fufills the adaptor request.
1/12/06. I would like to report that Oregon Scientific contacted me and we resolved all issues with this order. They were extremely helpful , gave a clear and concise explanation of the issue with the Nano adaptor and satisfied me completely. It is a pleasure to deal with a company that is so concerned with their customers. My complements to them and their customer service crew.
Now to the product. The system works flawlessly, there were no glitches or difficulty in setting it up and the sound is fabulous.It is the equal of my Bose Wave radio in my opinion. The smile on my daughter's face as she carried the ball around listening to her stored music was worth the wait. I can recommend this product with no reservations. I am upgrading my rating to 5 stars and ordering a catalog from Oregon Scientific today.

We are a radio station with a 1200 foot tower nearby which gets hit by lightning often. Previously we had several modems, two computers, and three routers and switches blown out by some of the lightning charge coming in on our cable service. These boxes, connected by a 6 foot optical cable, are between our modem and the router. The system works fine, with no effect on performance. Now only the modem and one of these converters will be at risk, and we have spares.

So glad that I found it through Amazon.com for a fraction of the cost (2 dollars plus change for a refurb. unit). Unfortunately, the speakers aren't worth much more than $2. I would recommend that you save up your $ for something that has better quality and can go louder as these speakers are too quiet for me.

(More customer reviews)I needed a replacement headphones for an older Sony XBR TV with an Infrared Wireless Receiver built in the TV. The headphones that came with the TV broke at the ear peice, I understand this is common with that style headphones. The MDR-IF30000 did the trick. They work great for what I need them for. To watch TV late at night with out disturbing the Family while they sleep. They are GREAT for a replacement in this application. The DOWN FALL is the odd size batteries for replacement down the road. If Sony would have use a AAA battery, you could get replacements anywhere, since the headphones come with NO CHARGER. It looks like Sony wants to be the only company to sell you your replcement batteries. I did not get a price on the BP-HP550/1.2V 550mAh, Nickel-Metal Hydride Battery by Sony, but they have that high dollar look about them, for what they are. You may want to get a price on the batteries first, before you buy a pair of headphones for this type application. Rick.
