(More customer reviews)It does transmit wireless audio as it advertises and the quality is rather good. There does not seem to be any perceptible lag as well. I have not tested the range of the device yet, but it was fine from 10-15 feet away. Hence the 4 stars. Here is what is strange about it though: the moment I plug it in the laptops wifi stops working. Not just the laptop, but the wifi on my iPhone also drops. In fact if I have my iPhone settings open I can see the wifi networks disappear when I plug this device into my laptop. What happens, I think, is that it uses the same 2.4GHz range as wifi and the interference just kills the weaker wifi signals.
I am not sure what to make of this. Under the windows device manager this device shows up as "SYNIC Wireless Audio". If you visit this companies webpage they have a FAQ that states:
"Q.08: When I use SYNIC® Intelligent Wireless total solution, will it impact Wi-Fi equipments?
A08: Yes, because most Wi-Fi solutions (IEEE 802.11x)are based on 2.4GHz and 5GHz. However, SYNIC® Intelligent Wireless Technology provides an intelligent feature of interference immunity to let SYNIC® Intelligent Wireless application coexist with Wi-Fi systems simultaneously."
However in my case I could not figure out how make it coexist with my Wifi. This comes with little or no documentation and little info seems to be available online. I don't know if it will interfere with other wireless gadgets. That said, the audio quality is rather good and if Wifi isnt a concern this maybe a good buy.
