KENSINGTON 33348 Bluetooth USB 2.0 Adapter Review

(More customer reviews)I already had a Kensington Bluetooth 1.2 adapter K33085, and I used it on my Windows XP computer to communicate with my Dell Axim X30 PDA, Nokia 6230 phone, and Motorola HS820 phone headset.
I figured I would upgrade to Bluetooth 2.0 to enable future devices with higher speeds and more capabilities (e.g., stereo headset), so I bought this adapter 33348.
It seems to work fine transferring files with the PDA and the phone, but my main thing was really the headset (for Skype), and I couldn't get it to work.
I installed the software as instructed (tried on 3 separate XP computers), and paired with the headset. It said it was paired, and it noticed when I would connect or disconnect the headset, but when they were paired, there was no sound. I tried manually switching the default audio device to Bluetooth Audio (didn't have to do that on the K33085), but it still didn't work.
I also tried my friend's HS820 and H700 headsets, with the same results.
I contacted Tech Support from both Kensington and Motorola. I never got an answer from Motorola (after 5 days), and the answer from Kensington, while prompt, was not terribly helpful. After I described the problem in detail, and asked for detailed advice, the response basically amounted to "Try installing from scratch again, and if it doesn't work, here's where you can apply for a refund."
So I returned the 33348 adapter to Amazon, and I'm back to using the old K33085 adapter. Hope I manage to find a Bluetooth 2.0 adapter compatible with my headset soon.

(More customer reviews)I bought a Coby Cassette Adapter for myself and my son kept using it so I bought him the cheaper white Digital Sound Generation one which didn't work at all, so then I bought him this XM Cassette Adapter. He said it was the best yet. He told me the Colby worked very well, buth the XM worked even better, plus it was a little less in price. We also tried the FM transmitter and we got alot of static, plus it was alot more expensive.
This is great for playing your MP3 player on your car radio. I also like to use it when I'm out by the pool to keep my MP3 player dry. You can use your existing boom box with cassette player without having to buy new and sometimes expensive MP3 speaker system.

(More customer reviews)I wasn't sure what to expect from this no-name brand cassette adapter but was pleased to find it worked well with my car tape deck stereo. I wanted to pipe music from the mp3 files in my LG enV3 cell phone through my car speakers. At first try, there was a noticeable hissing sound and the volume was quite suppressed. I ejected the cassette and pushed it back in to try again. This time, the volume level was corrected and the hissing noise went away. The sound quality is very good.
I realized the initial problem was due to not having used my tape deck in a quite a while. The contacts must have been very dirty! Anyway, I highly recommend this item. Great price and prompt shipping from Eforcity.

OEM 3.5mm 2.5mm Headset Adapter Converter Review

(More customer reviews)Please beware that this product does not work with the Android 1.5 "cupcake" software release as of 15 May 2009. It works with the previous release of the system. I will update this review when I get it to work.

Update: Toggleheadset breaks with Android 1.6. I've switched to using CyanogenMod, which fixes the bug!
Even with the update, there is a lot of alternator noise in my headset when plugged into the cig adapter on my Toyota. Clear as a bell without power enabled.
