(More customer reviews)I was skeptical at first, because this seemed like a cheap product. After reading some other reviews, I went for it and I am fully satisfied with the product. The audio is clear and high quality, and the device works as advertised. There's a number of niggling concerns which keep it from being 4/5 stars though:
1. No on/off switch on the iPod transmitter
2. Sometimes requires a lot of re-bonding with say 3rd party headphones (I have Moto HT820's)
3. Base station emits 60 hz hum over line out when on but not receiving signal
4. As with most BT audio devices, the audio cuts out from the iPod from time to time. Moving it away from other 2.4GHz devices seems to help
5. The clever pictures suggest the iPod transmitter is smaller than it really is. It's not big, but bigger than you would think.
All of these are forgiveable in my book, but prospective buyers should know about them. Aside from this, the device works great and I use it frequently - I especially enjoy the iPod transmitter's ability to draw power direct from the iPod itself! Good design! Don't use the base station much.
