(More customer reviews)With the change in allowable transmitter frequencies last year by the FCC, we had to change from our old reliable unit to a new unit that met the specs.
The unit that our sound person ordered as a replacement for our old unit was this audio-technica model.
Pros: Better battery life than our old 9-volt unit and will not get us into hot water with the FCC!
Con: Just one, but it's fairly hefty! I am the pastor of a church and throughout the service I periodically need to place the transmitter on mute. The old unit had a slide switch that was easy to place into the mute position with a slide switch that could be manipulated without looking at it. There was never any guesswork. This model leaves you in the dark as to whether you accidentally shut it off completely or did not press the time-sensitive button long enough and it is still transmitting. Either way you have a less than satisfactory situation.
If you never need the mute your transmitter/mike then this is a great choice, but otherwise I can't recommend this product.
