Xtreamer 2.4 GHZ Wireless Media Player Headphones (with RCA Hookups and USB Powered Transmitter) Review

Xtreamer 2.4 GHZ Wireless Media Player Headphones (with RCA Hookups and USB Powered Transmitter)

I play video games alot and have two tv's in the same room so my wife can watch tv and i can play. looked into gamer headphones and they were way out of my price range. found these and had to get them. the 2.4 ghz means the signal dont break up and holds no matter where u are. i have an appartment and can walk anywhere, even downstairs without problem. outside they get a little crackly but still hold the signal. install was easy and basic. know that you need to have a usb on your audio source or nearby, the av-jack cord is very short. i think thats the only downfall. sound is great, set-up is easy, signal is great, the headset is comfy on the head, and for the price your getting a digital connection. really think these are the best option for cordless headphones that are around, without spending more than $200.

Noah Company MediaGate MG-IKIT5N1 iPhone/iPod Hands Free USB FM Transmitter iKit (Black) Review

Noah Company MediaGate MG-IKIT5N1 iPhone/iPod Hands Free USB FM Transmitter iKit (Black)
Average Reviews:

Everything about this product works great except for one important item. First the good things:
1. The transmitter is strong and crisp
2. Works with the iPhone 3g
3. The arm is great - moves around to wherever you wish. Very sturdy.
4. You only need to insert the jack for hands free calling (only need the charger to listen to music).
Overall & originally, I was overjoyed at how well this product worked.
Now, the bad:
1. It doesn't swivel so that you can put the iPhone in landscape/coverflow mode... Not a big deal though... But what IS a big deal:
2. The unit actually "beeps" about once a minute. Sometimes you can hear it really well (listening to talk radio), and sometimes not at all (but usually you will hear at least one beep every five minutes or so). I wrote the MediaGate Tech Support, and their reply was:
"The reason for it beeping every 30 seconds or so is in order for the FM transmitter and FM radio to stay active and not in idle mode, it requires the unit to beep. This is a normal feature but unfortunately there is no way of turning this off."
I'm not sure if I am going to return this yet; but I have a feeling it could go one of two ways... Either it drives me insane, or I just start not hearing it like a grandfather clock. I'll try it for another couple days and see how I feel...

Mint 130 Wireless Speaker for iPod, MP3 Players, PCs, and Mac (Black) Review

Mint 130 Wireless Speaker for iPod, MP3 Players, PCs, and Mac (Black)
Average Reviews:

The person who wrote about having to sync the speaker to the USB wasn't reading the instructions. You totally don't even have to do that. I just plugged it all in, changed the setting on my computer and voila - wireless sound. I would recommend this to anyone looking to rid themselves of wires attached to their computer. The only bad thing that I can come up with was that the instructions were a little confusing which may be why that one guy kept trying to sync his up by pressing the buttons on each device. I never did that; it was plug and play almost instantly. Works great! Great price.

Niles MF1 - IR flasher Review

Niles MF1 - IR flasher

Until I found Niles, changing tv channels in bed was a problem. The cable box was below my site line, so I had to hold the remote in the air and wave it. We also have audio/video equipment in cabinets in our living room. The Niles system allows you to point at a small and unobtrusive receiver which relays your signals to multiple devices. It does make life much easier.

I got one like this from eBay. I do not really know what should I write about it. I played with it for two minutes and then throw it into the garbage can!

Blueant S1 Sun Visor Bluetooth Handsfree Review

Blueant S1 Sun Visor Bluetooth Handsfree
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Let me start with the basics - this car kit is not bad. It isn't great, but I've seen worse. The S1 is about $20 cheaper than the Supertooth 3 (the flagship carkit from Blueant). Sadly, the S1 loses the cool features found on the Supertooth 3 - voice dialing is one of them (the S1 does support a simple "answer" command for picking up calls.
The S1 does all the basics, plus it adds Bluetooth audio. This works, but don't expect it to replace your car stereo any time soon. The A2DP Bluetooth stereo lacks one minor little thing - AVCRP or Bluetooth audio remote. So, even though you can listen to music, you can't control it.
Now on to the big one - when you open the box, you see the S1, its visor clip and an AC charger. That is correct - the brainiacs at Blueant obviously felt that nobody would need a car charger for the car kit in their car.
This means you'll need to spend an additional $10 on a MiniUSB car charger cord. To me, this is an inexcusable flaw, and one that makes it seem like the product was poorly thought through.

For an inexpensive transmitter, I couldn't really ask for more. However, it's a little inconvenient that it only transmits to stations from 88.1 to 89.9
