(More customer reviews)I first bought this item with the boombox.(big mistake)receiver was alway very hot to the touch after use.
After a little over a year(one year warrenty)it burnt out.
I replaced the receiver and after a little over another year, the sheild around the connection point for the antenna broke away. It could not see the antenna anymore.I then replaced the received a third time. It only worked for 3.5 hours,then went silent,it would not re-activate after that.
I have now returned it and bought the Stiletto 100 from Sirius. IT IS AWSOME!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! Stay away from all X-act products.The service at X-act is even worse then their products.

As an alternative, you can also connect the XTR1 tuner directly to you stereo's input jack (if it has one) with the included patch cable for the best possible sound quality. And the docking cradle is versatile enough to work on almost any surface in your car, including the sun visor, windshield, or dashboard.
Additional features include a wireless remote for controlling the tuner from a distance; a sleep timer and traditional alarm; a lock function that lets you restrict access (via password) to Sirius' more off-color content, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack for private listening. The XTR1 tuner, which measures 2.75 by 4.62 by 1.38 inches (W x H x D), is backed by a one-year warranty on parts and labor.

(More customer reviews)I would highly advice that if you choose to get Satellite Radio, you should get it professional installed. I'm experimenting, so I went with the cheaper option. It works pretty well.
You should note that you'll have a few wires sticking out everywhere, and it will look kind of cheap, but if you can get over that, it works well. It has a cradle, a mounting bracket that can stick to the dash, and a mini FM transmitter so you can listen to Sirius through your radio. The whole system works quite well and does the job as best as it can. It's easy to and simple to setup, so that should not be a problem. The sound quality is a little weak, but it does the job.
Besides looking kind of cheap, which is not the docking kits fault, there are two main problems. One is that the mount uses screws or adhesive. I'm not going to drill randomly into my car, so I used the adhesive. The adhesive works very well, but I worry that if I ever remove the mount, will it take chunks of my dash with it? I don't know, which would be really scary if I deeply cared for my car. The second problem is that there is no power supply for a wall socket. This means that if you don't fork over another fifty dollars, you'll have to do the setup in your car, while the car is running. This is truly cheap and annoying.
All in all, it works well for those on a budget or those not willing to commit fully to Sirius radio.

Enjoy the freedom of Sirius satellite radio in your car with this easy-to-install dock with a built-in wireless FM transmitter. Compatible with the Audiovox SIRPNP1 or SIRPNP2 Sirius radio tuner, this docking station connects to your in-dash car stereo with the included RCA audio cable. (More customer reviews)This is one of those gadgets that everybody raves about it, but you are not quite sure if that hype is beter that the product. Well in this case I'm very happy to say that DELPHY Skyfi2 is an awesome product & XM radion has a great radio line-up. A big plus was that you do not need to be an electronic wizard to hard wire the unit. The unit was very easy to install & with the exception of one trip to the local electronic store for an FM modualtor & the atena "piggy tails" the whole instalation took me approx. an hour & 1/2. My favorite feature of this unit is "play back" mode. In conclussion, go & get your unit & have lots of fun with it.
