(More customer reviews)If you know how to install alarms this is for you. I had the car wiring diagram Older model Toyota Camry. I'm eletronicly capable knowledge wise and like to tackle things. I opted after trying it myself to have a car stereo place install it for $25. Works well otherwise. Simple alarm/door remote if thats what you are looking for. Toy alarm loudness which is not good.
I was looking for something just to operate my power door locks other than the $250 factory.

(More customer reviews)I have currently had this remote starter for a few months and I absolutely love it! The only disadvantage I found was the installation process. Because of its vast controls, of course it requires more connections. I am a certified technician and it took me approximately 8 hours to install the starter. I am very particular with electrical work so I'm sure that it could have been done in less time. I don't think that its range is as advertised due to the many obstructions such as other cars in the parking lot. Generally I've found that if you can see it in clear view, then it works. The wireless entry feature is a great upgrade for my older vehicle. I use the remote starter every morning to bring the vehicle up to op. temp. before I head to work. It runs for 15 mins before it shuts itself off so I don't have to worry it continually running. I love it for my purpose and it was certainly worth the money.

Replacement Remotes Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this replacement remote with little hope that it would be as good as the original... but it really is! I can start my car from hundreds of feet away, and it took me about 2 minutes to figure out how to program it to my car specifically. It does everything the original does, and looks just like it. The range if fantastic, set-up was easy, and I just couldn't ask for anything more.

(More customer reviews)I just had this installed and while I love the remote start convenience and the security provided by the alarm...I'm having a few issues. An alarm keeps going off on the remote with the screen. Every time we run out to the car only to find that the car alarm is NOT going off. I cannot find any explanation for this in the manual or online and I am almost at my wit's end about what to do...as are my dogs!

Directed Electronics 474T 434 MHz 2/66 Codes 4-Button Transmitter Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this remote, along with a 477T, based on reports that it would work with a Hornet 554T system. When I received both remotes, the package for the 474T did not indicate you could use it with the 554T system. After some additional research, I found that all replacement remotes with the green activity light and 2^66 codes should work. I tried using the instructions on the back of the package, which indicated programming on channel 1, to program the remote into the system. This only set the remote to single-button mode, so the lock and unlock were on the same button. None of the other buttons did anything. When I located the 554T installation manual on Directed's website, I learned that the correct channel to auto-learn all buttons is channel 8. So, if you pick this one up, just check the install manual for your model of alarm to confirm the right channel to use when learning the remote. All the buttons worked perfectly with the auto-learn, including the remote start. Great buy!
