Even with multiple channel capability the interference renders this product useless. Further, an e-mail on a driver issue for the video capture board took nearly a week for a terse response. Spend the extra money for a wired solution and save yourself from disappointment.

(More customer reviews)This is a well made compact little reciever that records up to 999 triggers with channle, date, and time for up to 4 Dakota Alert motion sensors. You can configure the frequency and codes and the reciever can tell you exactly what channel has been triggered to tell you where the "bag guy" is. I have one channel operating looking at the back door of my home. The device has only one down side... it can "choke" now and then and this requires a "reset" (small hole-button in side you hit with a paperclip). When you reset it you have to reconfigure date, time, etc. so the logs are correct. But very useful product... you can set the chime to go and/or vibrate mode. I clip on my pajama collar in bed on vibrate and it tells me when I have a "fish on the end of my line". LOL

My husband is very careful about making sure all the doors are dead-bolted at night, but the French doors seem awful easy to kick in if you really wanted to. Additionally, we have a couple teenagers, and we sleep on a different floor than they do. We don't want anyone sneaking out at night. ;) So, we purchased this system to cover a couple windows and the French door, and to allow us to sleep a little easier. I usually have no problem with anything technical - in fact, I love pushing buttons! But for some reason I was very nervous about setting this up. It sat in the box for almost two weeks before I decided to tackle it. But once I did, it was easy. I set it up, hooked up the phone dialer (which my husband thinks is amazing, by the way.) I liked the key fob best. You can enable or disable the alarm from it, and it contains a panic button. And this thing is LOUD! We are very happy with our choice. We may add a water alarm to the system as well. Great system!

WPA-3000 Wireless Probe Driveway Alert Kit- Max Range 600' Review

(More customer reviews)We recently moved to a country location with a long driveway. Friends in the area use motion sensor alerts for their driveways. We have noticed they pay little attention to them because the numerous deer and other wildlife in the area are always tripping them off.
So when I found I could get a sensor that works on magnetic principles for detection I was delighted and ordered one. I received it quickly from an Amazon merchant, read the instructions and installed it. It works perfectly. It was easy to install the unit so that it is virtually invisible from the driveway.
The range from the transmitter to the house in my case is about 600 feet, through heavy brush, and the unit has handled this with absolutely no problem. I have tried the alarm receiver in several locations in the house, including the basement, and it has worked perfectly in all of them.
I was concerned initially about the fact that the sensor would not pick up someone on foot walking to our house - but then I realized that my neighbors with motion sensors have so many false alarms that they pay no attention to the alarm unless they are expecting a visitor. In my opinion knowing that an unexpected vehicle is coming up the drive is far more effective as an alarm that ignoring an alarm because of so many false alerts due to deer, dogs, rabbits etc.
In the three weeks I have had the unit installed, it has never failed to detect a vehicle, and it has never sounded an alarm under any other circumstance. Which is exactly what I wanted.
For what it's worth - I do know electronics, and the quality of the unit internally is excellent. Also, the enclosure for the transmitter is well made to resist the ravages of weather and sun.
As far as I am concerned this is a well thought out and well made unit that does exactly what I wanted.
It deserves five stars.

(More customer reviews)As with the motion sensors for this GE product, these do NOT communicate up to 150 feet. Feel lucky if you can get up to 30 feet. And if the temperature dips below 35 degrees, these don't function well. See my review for the Motion Sensor component. These are just not worth it... you get what you pay for and I'm upset that I thought these might work when they're clearly an inferior and barely useful item. I will state that the base unit is cheaply made and does not function as expected or according to the descriptions in its little manual. Quite indicative of cheap junk. Finally, be prepared - the ONLY WAY this unit attaches to the wall is with sticky TAPE. I did not expect that. Just absurd junk!

I had an audio-only baby monitor, but it's a pity I could not see the condition of my son, e.g. his sleeping position, whether the blanket is in place, etc. Unfortunately, most video baby monitors are either analog (interference) or without the talk-back feature. My old audio-only monitor is analog and it has quite a bit of interference, but it has a good feature: two-way radio for talking back to the child -- a feature that I feel very important.
This 2.4GHz Digital Wireless Baby Monitor System with Night Vision meets all my expectations, at a very affordable price comparatively. It works immediately out-of-the-box, no interference, clear audio and video, good night vision, and I can talk back to my son. The voice activated alarm and video works pretty well. Only one small complaint: it wakes up from sleep mode and turns on the video/audio for only a brief moment (like 5 seconds) which is too short, it would have been better if the duration is like 30 seconds or configurable; but it's not a big deal - I can always turn off the sleep mode immediately with a touch of a button.
I highly recommend this baby monitor.

(More customer reviews)Overall I like this product (and the entire system)... this product really only has one drawback: it doesn't participate in system "beeps"... while it DOES alarm when the system ALARMS, it doesn't beep when the system arms/disarms or when the system count-down timer is going. I would have liked it to do this because my main console is in an area that can't be heard very well throughout the house. A lot of times you can't hear the various system chimes -- which would have been substantially improved if this component did more than simply sound when the system alarm was triggered. :(
Otherwise, it's nice and loud and works well for it's main purpose. Eventually I'm considering getting 2 more: 1 for my garage and 1 for my backyard... to make my alarm REALLY NOISY. Currently, with this speaker and my main unit's speaker, the system is loud enough that anytime you are near them they actually hurt and disorient you). Not bad. :)
