(More customer reviews)Purchased this about a year, year and a half ago. Don't remember. It was used for a second TV for the wife in the bedroom while the receiver remained in the living room. It worked great for about 6 to 8 months. Then every two or three days the wife complained it didn't work. I swapped batteries and it was fine for a few days. Then she was back out again. It doesn't work. Switch batteries again. worked for a few more days. Same thing. Switch both batteries. Again good for a few days. Then she did it herself. after about a year, sometimes switching both batteries did not work. Installed fresh batteries and held the remote next to saucer and would not work. Would not light the led for IF transmission. I even tried the little stick on adapter. No good. I called the manufacturer and was told I probably need new batteries. I told him the unit is not that old. Less than two years old. He told me the batteries are only good for about two years and need replaced. At $25 a pair, that's half the cost of another unit. I don't think so.
I'll move the receiver to the bedroom so she'll let me alone with it. Would I recommend this to a friend. I should say not. It may not even be the battery, but I'm not wasting $13 for a battery to find out it's in the transmitter. If that's all the help I can get, forget it. I'll never buy another one.
